FanDuel Value Plays Coming into Focus for Week 1

Even with more than two weeks before the NFL season officially kicks off, there is plenty of action with FanDuel lineups for Week 1. Here are a few strong candidates to be widely used as value plays:

Eddie Royal ($5,000)

Kevin White is out of the picture and Royal should have a free run of snaps. To aid the argument for Royal as a bargain basement WR3, the Bears' game script is likely catch-up mode against the Packers.

Davante Adams ($5,500)

The Jordy Nelson injury is a huge boon for Week 1 and Davante Adams' FanDuel appeal. Adams goes from a worthy flyer to an auto-play as the No.2 (or even the No.1) target for Aaron Rodgers against a questionable-at-best Bears defense.

Tyrod Taylor ($5,000)

Taylor has extreme rushing appeal (40 yards in the first half alone against Cleveland in the preseason) and is in a dead heat to wrestle away the starting job from ho-hum incumbent Matt Cassel. The Colts provide a likely positive game script for the Buffalo offense to play catch-up and have Taylor doing what he does best - scramble - in Week 1 for DFS owners.

Vincent Jackson ($7,200) and Austin Seferian-Jenkins ($4,700)

More injuries for the Tennessee defense and they will face a forest of oversized Tampa Bay targets in Mike Evans, Vincent Jackson, and Austin Seferian-Jenkins in Week 1. Jackson is a touchdown regression lover's dream for 2015 and more than $1,000 less than Evans with the same enticing matchup. Jackson fits well as a cheap WR1 or quality WR2 in FanDuel lineups. Seferian-Jenkins is a near minimum salary and another strong contrarian play to Evans' salary range.
