With the news that wide receiver Kevin White (CHI) will miss between six weeks and the entire season due to a stress fracture in his shin that requires surgical repair, Eddie Royal definitely needs to be on your Week 1 regular season list of prospects for FanDuel entries.
Additionally, Alshon Jeffery is currently sidelined due to a calf injury. Jeffery will reportedly miss the practices during the third week of August and the Bears' second preseason game, at a minimum.
All of the above means that Royal will get plenty of reps with the first team in practice and have a good chance to reestablish his chemistry with Jay Cutler (they previously worked together in Denver -- during 2008 Royal saw 129 targets for 91/980/5 receiving). His salary is only $5,000 for Week 1, so he looks like a huge bargain given current circumstances in Chicago.
